Corces et al. Blood Cell Epigenetics

Diagram from Corces et al.1 showing 5 important ATAC-seq regions for each of 13 blood cell types.

In their 2016 paper, Corces et al.1 used ATAC-seq to record epigenetic chromatin accessibility data from 13 blood-cell types.

Using functional genomics techniques like MAGMA and S-LDSC, this cell-specific chromatin accessibility data can be combined with GWAS summary statistics to implicate specific blood cell types in specific phenotypes.
