Key script used to operate the programmatic figure system

Modules:

  • generate_figures –

    Use the build system to generate the figure assets, then copy them to the figure directory.

  • generate_new_figures –
  • prune_orphan_figures –

    Remove figure-manifest entries that no task in ALL_FIGURE_TASKS produces.

  • publish_figures –

    End-to-end "the figure system is out of date" workflow.

  • pull_figures –

    Make the local figure directory match the manifest committed to git.

  • push_figures –

    Update the figure manifest to reflect the local figure directory and upload any

  • regenerate_figures –

    Use the build system to generate the figure assets, then copy them to the figure directory. All figure-generating tasks are forced to rerun.

  • validate_manifest –

    Check that the figure manifest committed to git stays a subset of the
